I think the revision strategies that I found useful this week were the comments from others. The feedback helped give me ideas and insight to my story that I didn't come up with on my own.
My current draft is very very rough. So as far as the qualities of an exemplary narrative, my narrative possess none of those. I'm hoping that when I'm done however, it will have all the qualities.
I missed a few days this week, but when I was there we did keep the norms that the class set. It was pretty quiet an it someone had questions or needed help, they quietly asked a classmate for help without distracting the whole class.
For our argument story I would like to explore things with the media. Such as how media affects body image or the way that people view themselves. Also, the impact of gender roles and how society enforces them.

Week #3 (2/11-2/14)
My current book is going great. I just recently finished it and I plan to share it by having a book talk. I'm excited to share my book because everyone questioned my when I first began to read it. They'll realize that Fifty Shades of Grey is about much more than sex.
I had a hard time deciding on my topic. Honestly, I'm not very passionate about it and I'm thinking about changing my topic altogether. I'm just not sure what I would want to write about.

Week #2 (2/4-2/8)
Although I did not attend the play, I still learned about language, the play Pygmalion and My Fair Lady. I learned that language is important to people. It kind of tells people who you are and maybe where you're from. We talked about " perfect English and kind of defined it. I personally don't think there is a perfect English I defined it as pronouncing words correctly and being articulate. I guess the " definition of perfect English " may be different for each person.

Week #1 (1/28-2/1)
This week I noticed my one of my strenghths is this class is particpating. Last semester I didn't participate as much and it kind of hurt me in a way. I also didn't ask as many questions. I noticed that I participate more and ask more questions and I think these are strengths I have because I ask the right questions and make sure I participate to ensure that I get the most out of what I'm learning.
There are some things I would like to work on. Talking when I shouldn't be is one of them. I tend to distract myself and others around me and that is not fair for me or them. I also need to work on not texting. To be honest I'm on my phone all the time and class is not the right time for me to be on it.
The exercise I liked the best was brain storming with a partner about the different moments that everyone wanted to snapshot. I think it was very beneficial to get another idea and some inputs from a partner. I also liked discussing the video we watched with the different shapes that were moving because it was interesting to see what everyone thought the story behind their actions were.
As of now, I think the class experience is working well how it is. It's only been a week so I haven't yet experienced things that don't really work for me. I know that when we start doing more writing I would like to listen to my own music and get into a zone so I can focus and concentrate.
Currently I am reading the book Fifty Shades of Grey by E L James. So far it is a very interesting book. I'm excited to see what will end up happening to the main character Anastasia.
All in all, the first week of English class went great and I'm excited to see what this semester has in store for me.
